As a Medicaid managed care provider with more than 450,000 members in Georgia, CareSource has always supported members in overcoming obstacles to pursuing education and employment. We're proud to continue that commitment to support members of Georgia Pathways to Coverage™, a new program that helps low-income Georgians qualify for Medicaid who otherwise would not be eligible.

Exemplifying this commitment, our innovative and long-standing Life Services program assigns members a life coach, who supports members in their educational and employment goals with a broad spectrum of services including job resources, educational opportunities, vocational counseling and more. CareSource recently created the Georgia Pathways Life Services® Coach position, which ensures personalized and dedicated support for potential Pathways enrollees navigating the program's qualifying activities.

Our collaborations with local organizations also work to empower our members to overcome obstacles and pursue meaningful opportunities. CareSource has partnered with the Atlanta Hawks Recruitment & Workforce Development personnel to host career readiness workshops across the greater Atlanta area. Attendees participated in interactive training modules focused on networking, resume preparation and interview techniques. Plus, CareSource has contributed $40,000 in partnership with First Step Staffing—a nonprofit staffing firm committed to providing economic opportunities to individuals facing various challenges—and continued our collaboration with Goodwill Southeast Georgia to participate in employment outreach events.
