Caring for the Whole Health of Georgia

CareSource proudly joined forces with Team Smile, an advocacy group that brings oral health professionals and professional athletics teams together, to provide free dental care and preventative care services to roughly 250 kids from three local school districts.

Held inside Gateway Center Arena, home of the College Park Skyhawks, the dental care visits were for a first-time experience for many children. Pediatiac dentists and other care professionals volunteered their time and expertise to this important cause, as oral health is inextricably linked to a person's overall heath. Both the College Park Skyhawks mascot Colli Hawk and CareSource mascot Cuddles were around to entertain kids waiting to see dentists.

“CareSource knows that for some people, going to the dentist office can be an intimidating experience,” said Jason Bearden, president of CareSource Georgia. “Providing access to quality care is at the heart of our mission, and this is just one example of how that commitment positively affects Georgians.”
